NACTON SCOTTISH DANCE GROUP

Nacton Scottish Dance Group has now ended its classes on Friday evenings.  It started in the 1980s as an advanced class for people wanting to improve their dancing and learn more challenging dances. For the last forty years it has been been taught by Gillian Barella, but she has now decided it is time to retire from teaching.  Numbers have also been dwindling, and it is with some regret that the decision has been made to cease the class.

Thank you to all the past members for many years of challenging but fun dancing at Nacton.

The end of an era at Nacton

With sadness, but in celebration too, the Nacton Scottish Dance group held its last evening on Friday 15th May this year.  Gillian Barella, seated centre, who has taught the class for forty years is retiring, and also with dwindling numbers during the last year or two it has been decided to cease the Friday Nacton classes. We went out on a high with past and present members attending a party night with dancing first followed by a shared supper.
